Homeland House of Ljubinka Savic Grasi

An Oasis of Art at the Foot of Rtanj Mountain

Overview

Welcome to a unique place of art and soul! Step into the Homeland House of sculptor Ljubinka Savic Grasi in the village of Ilino – an oasis of art at the foot of the mystical Rtanj Mountain.

Grasi left an indelible mark on the world of sculpture, creating works that captivate with their beauty and present life from a unique perspective. Her artistic opus includes monuments, sculptures of women and children, and portraits of great minds and historical figures who made a significant contribution to both national and world history. Among them, the portrait of Nikola Tesla stands out – a work she donated to her homeland.

The Homeland House of Grasi, dating back to the 19th century, has a rich history. After the Second World War, the house served as a shop and village tavern, carrying the spirit of local community life. However, since 2009, it has undergone reconstruction and today proudly stands as the Homeland House of the sculptor. In addition to reflecting tradition, the house hosts exhibitions that present the life and artistic work of the artist. This is not just a museum – it is an experience.
