About the Project

Project Objective:

The main objective of the project is to improve the tourist attractiveness of the cross-border region through enhanced digitalization and accessibility of museums and cultural-historical sites, as well as by providing an engaging and multilingual experience for visitors.

Specific Objective:

Development of an attractive, year-round tourism product through smart solutions that ensure universal access and participation.

Project Activities:

• Organization of 2 opening conferences – in Bulgaria and Serbia
• Reconstruction of the Museum of the Timok Uprising
• Reconstruction of the Historical Museum in Chiprovtsi
• Production of the multimedia film “The Old Chiprovtsi Wedding”
• Preparation of a Digital Gap Analysis for 20 museums and cultural attractions in Eastern Serbia and Northwestern Bulgaria
• Preparation of 10 Action Plans for improving digital services and online communication
• Digital promotional campaign
• Creation of the e-platform for the cultural heritage of Eastern Serbia and Northwestern Bulgaria
• Establishment of a Cross-Border Center for 3D Modeling and Photogrammetry
• Development of augmented reality presentations at 20 cultural heritage locations

The project is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Bulgaria–Serbia Programme.
