The Klisura Monastery is located at the foot of the Balkan Mountains (Stara Planina) near the town of Varshets and is among the largest active monasteries in Northwestern Bulgaria. Founded in the Middle Ages and restored multiple times, today it impresses with its spacious courtyard, beautiful church, and peaceful atmosphere.
